Sea Waterline (SWL) provides flag state inspections in Australia. Sea Waterline (SWL) is the Independent contractor of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry in Australia and Oceania.

We provide technical services predominantly surveys, audits and inspections of existing merchant vessels and super yachts on behalf of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry and issuing Statutory Documentation and providing Flag State support to our clients operating vessels registered in the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Islands Shipping Registry is a member of the British shipping registers Red Ensign Group (REG).

Any vessel on these registers is a ‘British ship’ and is entitled to fly the British Merchant Shipping flag the ‘Red Ensign’ under the British Merchant Shipping Order 2003. The combined British Red Ensign fleet is currently 9th largest in the world.

The registers are operated by:

• Category 1 Registries (Ships of Unrestricted tonnage and type)

• Category 2 Registries (Commercial and Pleasure vessels up to 400GT).
